Portable Propane Heaters

Propane Shop Heater

Propane Shop Heater

A heater that is going to be used in a place visited by the general public must be selected carefully.

If your shop is very large, or located on an industrial estate, or located in a warehouse – it may be necessary to use a space heater – but you need to consider the products you sell. Clothes for example will absorb the smell of burning propane, which will be very off-putting for customers.

If you have a smaller store, it may be possible to use standard propane wall heaters. Although these will be unable to heat a large space such as a warehouse, a well located and well vented wall heater will add warmth, and cut-down on the smell and eliminate the hot air from a fan based space heater.

An important feature for a shop would be a thermostat – this would allow you to keep the store at a constant temperature, without having to make manual adjustments.

As most stores have electricity, it would be worth considering having electric storage heaters fitted (if the store is suited, and is small enough). These can keep the store at the right temperature, and are safe to be left on. The way a storage heater works allows for a great energy saving and reducing costs.
